Has anyone ever considered creating a TAS of Die Hard, as made famous by Kirkq during AGDQ 2013? Not sure if it would be entertaining enough for the moons teir, but a well optimized run would be worthy of the Vault at least. I am tempted to make a TAS myself as a first project. Any thoughts on the matter?

Personally, I find just the name of the submitter distasteful.

Unlike the terribad Kazio hacks, this one is actually interesting to watch. Yes.

I voted No Super Kazio World is nothing to write home about. Yes, it is a famous SMW hack, but it really isn't very interesting to watch. Watching someone TAS a hack of a highly difficult hack that doesn't even look nice really isn't that interesting to me.

Unlike the "Super Demo World" romhack, which is a romhack that most people could finish unassisted, this romhack reeks of being so difficult you pretty much have to have to use savestates to complete it. Its very difficult to complete unassisted. I find a good romhack of a game suitable for submission one that can be finished reasonably. Super Demo World has some hard levels, but if you put it on a flash cart and gave it to someone who's decent at playing video games, they'd be able to finish it on real hardware. This hack is not like that. I voted no for bad choice of game.

There is no such thing as a stupid question, only an off topic one. This is a legit question that is on topic.

Voting NO because it broke the sound on the emulator and I had to manually re-enable it by editing a .cfg file.
Yep, that was annoying. To fix the sound issue, open snes9x.cfg and find
[Sound]
APUEnabled = FALSE # true to enable the sound CPU
and change it to
[Sound]
APUEnabled = TRUE # true to enable the sound CPU

Until someone travels 5 years into the future and brings back a fully working xbox 360 emulator with rerecording, I don't think so. Plus, it doesn't look like a very fun game regardless.

I voted yes. I was entertained, and it felt very technically sound. The only thing I really don't like about the game choice is Pilotwings is essentially the same game twice, just harder the second time around. Overall, I think TASvideos has room to publish this one.

The fact that the game crashes when entering the room normally while holding the buttons may imply that the developers tried to prevent the player from using this trick.
So... Basically, they didn't want people playing the game to use the debug code, but instead of removing it they decided to make the game crash if you attempt it. What? >_>
If they attempted to block access to the code late in the development cycle, removing the code may have caused more issues then it would have solved. So instead they attempted to hack the code to just make the game crash if it was used. The disassembly of the game's code shows it is in fact a code. So right now the debate is if it was left intentionally to be used by players. Based on the fact the game crashes, I would think not.

This submission may be a good candidate for concept demo section (where the NewGame+ runs are, among other things), but otherwise it has no place on the site.
I'm fairly new here, but I'd have to agree based on what I've seen in the past. It was a very entertaining run, however. I enjoyed watching it. Very nice work Saturn.
